SLB-Capturi is a joint venture between SLB New energy and Aker Carbon Capture. We are a leading carbon capture technology company. We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, blue hydrogen, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. Through our portfolio of projects, we are mitigating the environmental cost of industrial activity for a cleaner, more sustainable future. We see a daily growth in our market potential as a rising number of customers look to carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS) and our company to solve their emissions challenges. SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2.

The SLB-Capturi US is seeking a qualified Instrument & Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to Lead Instrument & Controls Engineer US, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Integrated Control & Safety System architectures and field instrumentation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Develop Integrated Control and Safety Systems, including hardware and software components.
* Ensure instrument and control system projects meet quality, safety, and performance standards from concept to operation.
* Contribute to the development of P&ID’s
* Implement testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of various control systems.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Ensure Control Systems deliverables are designed and adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines during project development, design, and installation.
* Develop, review, and ensure proposals contain clearly defined material, equipment, and delivery information.
* Contribute and share your technical experience, to foster a collaborative work environment.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and lessons learned

Qualifications and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
* 3 to 5 years of experience in Control System Engineering required
* Experience with API, ANSI, IEEE, ISO, EN, ATEX, IEC, and other international codes and standards in instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
* Experience and understanding of safety systems, SIL loops, Fire detection, Gas detection, and alarm system rationalization.
* Identification and selection of appropriate field instrumentation.
* Implementing instrumentation cabling, cable tray layouts, and other related activities.
* Work independently applying advance engineering techniques and analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail in design, testing, and documentation processes
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* A self-starter that demonstrates a positive outlook and contributes to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
* Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
